90% of the lakes still have ice, with some anglers still ice fishing on the bigger lakes, and some open water perch and walleyes being taken in back bays and on rivers.  All in the Eagle River, Wisconsin area. Warmer weather means exploding walleye action, with ancillary catches of northerns, smallmouth and catfish.  All in and amidst the lakes and the Wisconsin River in Wisconsin’s Marathon and Lincoln Counties (near Mosinee and Wausau).
